Linwood Food Bank serves the immediate and short-term needs of the Lincrest Neighborhood and the cities of Shreveport and Bossier, providing canned-goods, non-perishable food items, and certain toiletry items to those who are in need. We are able to provide this much needed help because of the generous donations of the congregation of Linwood Baptist Church, other churches within the Shreveport and Bossier area, and the gifts of individuals.
If you wish to contribute to the ongoing work of the Linwood Food Bank you may do so either through a financial gift or a donation of goods. If you wish to donate canned-goods, non-perishable food items, or toiletries please call the church to be sure someone will be present to receive your gift.
If you have fallen into hard times and are in need of assistance with groceries, call the church office (1.318.631.4467)to schedule an appointment. The food bank is open between the hours of 9:30am and 11:00am Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Be advised that you will need to bring a state or federally issued photo ID and proof of residence, such as a recent utility bill.
